YouTube Shorts could be broadly described as Google’s response to TikTok. It is a platform attached to the world famous video site that focuses on the dissemination of content of very short duration and with aspirations to go viral.

Through a post on his official blogthe platform revealed that it will refine the Remix editing feature in Shorts, to add some improvements that have felt urgent for a long time, such as the ability to adjust the layout, position, zoom and crop of a video segment.
In addition, content creators will be able to add split screen effects to get creative and freshen up virtually any existing content in their video library.
A new tool will also be added to speed up the remix, especially when opting for split-screen content in post-production, “borrowing” many ideas from the Instagram Reels interface, which has specialized in this kind of video for a long time.
On top of that, you can now automatically transfer the background music and visual filter from any existing clip to the new video. That without counting the sum of many effects, stickers and even the option to make live broadcasts.
With this automatically any video already uploaded can be reformatted to fit Shorts without it being a headache.
