Of course, there is still not too much news about the Xiaomi 14 Pro. However, from what can be seen so far, the manufacturer will bet on strengthening the design language that we already saw in 2022 in the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro. The most noticeable change would be seen in the rear camera module which, although it will continue to be square, will change the arrangement of the sensors and the flash.
The Xiaomi 14 would also arrive with a logical boost in terms of performance, thanks to the adoption of the new processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, from Qualcomm. According to a promotional image recently leaked in China, the performance of the CPU would be 23% higher than the previous model – which used Gen 2 – while that of the GPU would be increased by 35%. Likewise, energy consumption would be reduced by 30 and 37 percent, respectively.
Other new features that the Xiaomi 14 would bring under the hood would be linked to the RAM and storage options. Unlike the 13 and 13 Pro, which were offered with 8 and 12 GB of memory, The new models would arrive with 12 and 16 GB. While in terms of internal space, the 128 GB option would disappear, but a variant with 1 TB would be added. Alternatives with 256 and 512 GB would continue to be available, of course.
The Xiaomi 14 would make an important leap in its cameras
The change in the rear cameras of the Xiaomi 14 would not be limited to an aesthetic issue. If the leaked specifications are correct, the standard model would incorporate a 50 megapixel OV50H main sensor, accompanied by a 50 megapixel ultra wide angle and a 50 megapixel telephoto lens. If confirmed, it would mean a noticeable jump compared to the Xiaomi 13, whose configuration was 50 + 12 + 10 MP.
In the same way, it would imply that this version would inherit a version identical – or very similar, at least – to the camera of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. With this point in consideration, for now there is no news on what the choice of rear cameras for the Xiaomi would be. 14 Pro. What would continue would be collaboration with Leica which was introduced in the 12S and 12S Pro models.
As for the battery, the Xiaomi 14 would receive a small boost compared to its predecessor. Would be 4,600 mAh, with support for 90-watt wired fast charging. Wireless charging would remain at 50W, while reverse wireless charging would continue to be 10W. In addition, the Chinese brand would implement some type of liquid cooling solution.
On the front of the Xiaomi 14 we would find a C8 OLED screen of 6.44 inches. This would imply a slight increase in size, compared to the 6.36-inch panel of the Xiaomi 13. Rumors speak of 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and maximum brightness of 2,800 nits.
There are still no mentions of the weight and dimensions of the upcoming Xiaomi flagships. In terms of software, we can assume that the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will be the first to adopt the new HyperOS, which will replace MIUI.

Presentation, availability and price
The Xiaomi 14 would be presented in China on October 27, with reservations starting that same day. The new high-end line would hit stores starting October 31. For now, it is unknown when it could debut in international markets. Although knowing Xiaomi, it would not be strange for it to be launched in Europe at the beginning of 2024. Let us keep in mind that, in addition to the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, the appearance of more variants such as the Lite and Ultra, among others, cannot be ruled out.
