In the third and final Test of the three-match series held in Sylhet, Bangladesh ‘A’ team picked up 306 runs for 4 wickets with Mahmudul Hasan winning a century in response to 461 runs in their second innings. Both teams considered the match as a draw as no one could secure a win.
Chasing an even run, Bangladesh scored 47 runs for no wicket in the late afternoon of the third day. Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Zakir Hasan, the two unbeaten openers of the previous day, came to bat again in the second day’s play.
They continued to bat excellently in the opening pair. These two batsmen scored 93 runs in the first wicket pair. Zakir took the path to Sajghar by scoring 43 runs off 95 balls.
