In Italy Serie A, Inter’s 4th place secured the Champions League helped the Super League champions. According to the current country score, the champion of the Super League would have participated in the Champions League qualifying rounds from the 1st Round, but Inter’s securing the top 4 in Serie A took the Super League champions to the next round.
Accordingly, the champion team in the Super League won the right to start from the second qualifying round instead of the first qualifying round in order to participate in the Champions League groups.
WE WILL PLAY LESS QUALIFICATIONS
With this change, the Super League champion had the chance to open the season later and play fewer qualifying rounds by going to the second qualifying round on July 25-26 instead of July 11-12 for the 1st qualifying round. Super League champions have to go through 3 rounds in order to join the Champions League groups this season.
