Mr. Principal:
The National Observatory for Consumer Protection (Onpeco) warns consumers to beware of false and misleading advertising that could be involved in the multiple offers that appear in the media, on the occasion of Black Friday.
We draw attention because this November 25 is the long-awaited Black Friday, when in the United States consumers get up early to be the first to take advantage of the offers, with prices well below the established cost for sale, but in the US there is a great respect for consumers, who have the opportunity to change their decision and go to the establishment to get their money back if they have regretted the purchase, something that does not happen in the Dominican Republic, despite Law 358-05 and the article 53 of the Constitution that establishes the right to be compensated in case of market failures.
