Wall Street opens in green and the Dow Jones gains 0.65%

Wall Street opened this Thursday in green and the Dow Jones Industrialsits main indicator, gained 0.65% at the opening after knowing the inflation data for July.

Two minutes after the start of operations on the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones stood at 35,350 units and the selective S&P 500 rose 0.65%, to 4,496 points.

On the other hand, the composite index of the nasdaq marketin which the main technology companies are listed, gained 0.85%, up to 13,838 integers.

Today the most expected data was that of inflation in July, which stood at a slight rise of 0.2% (3.2% year-on-year), which was what most analysts expected and which does not completely dispel fears of new increases. of interest rates by the Federal Reserve (Fed).

On Wednesday the entertainment giant Disney reported quarterly profits 8% higher than in the corresponding quarter of 2022, thus adding to generally positive results for most large companies, above forecasts in many cases.

By sectors, all of them woke up today in green, being the biggest gains for consumer goods (1.18%) and communications (0.95%).

Among the 30 Dow Jones values, practically all were in the green in these early stages of the day, with the highest gains for Nike (1.85%). Intel (1.75%) and Salesforce (1.69%).
