Vijay Hazare Trophy: Batting no ruckus! Tamil Nadu scored 506 runs in 50 overs, batsman scored 277 runs

Monday was a day of fireworks in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In the match between Tamil Nadu and Arunachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu presented such a display of batting that all the records were broken. Batting first, Tamil Nadu scored 506 runs in 50 overs, which is a world record in List-A cricket.

Jagdishan rained records

In their innings of 50 overs, Tamil Nadu made this score by losing only 2 wickets. In this match, Narayan Jagadishan of Tamil Nadu scored a record-breaking inning of 277 runs, which is the biggest innings played by any batsman in List-A. Narayan Jagdishan played 141 balls in his innings, which included 25 fours and 15 sixes. The innings of 277 runs at a strike rate of around 200 proved to be a world record.

Apart from Narayan Jagdishan, Sai Sudarshan also played a blistering inning in this match, in which he scored 154 runs in 102 balls. There was a partnership of 416 runs between Jagdishan and Sudarshan, which proved to be the biggest partnership for any wicket in List-A cricket.
