Pat Ryder, Chief of the Pentagon Air Force.

“IMMEDIATELY NEED TO REDUCE THE VOLTAGE”

It is necessary to de-escalate immediately to focus on the task of defeating DAESH and to ensure the safety of personnel committed to the mission of defeating DAESH. We condemn the civilian casualties in Turkey and Syria as a result of these actions and express our condolences. We are also concerned about reports of deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure.”

“THE HARDEST REACTION EVER”

At the end of the statement, it was noted that the United States understands Turkey’s legitimate security concerns and will continue to negotiate with Turkey and local partners to arrange a ceasefire. Reuters news agency stated that the statement was the harshest reaction of the USA to Turkey’s operation in Syria to date. The US, which supports the Syrian Democratic Forces, to which the PKK/YPG is affiliated, has approximately 900 soldiers in northern Syria.
