The Academic programs of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of the Pedro Henriquez Urena National University (Unphu), received re-accreditation by one of the most important official Accreditation and Evaluation agencies of the USA, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
The reaccreditation supposes the recognition and the guarantee that the business careers of the faculty, comply with the quality standards demanded by said organism.
The faculty submitted the report on the status of their Schools, before the ACBSP accreditation, and it was accepted without any observation by the commissioners of said accreditation, obtaining the reaccreditation. The Schools endorsed by the ACBSP, which have high international quality standards; They are Accounting and Auditing, Business Administration, Marketing, and Hotel and Tourism Administration.
Among the benefits that this achievement includes are: being recognized as an institution with a guarantee of educational quality; have greater prestige nationally and internationally; easier access to universities in the United States and other countries with accredited institutions; and access better employment opportunities for their graduates or graduates.
This reaccreditation is based, mainly, on the advancement of the improvements made in the recurring processes of the schools and in the training of their teachers at a doctoral level. “It is thus evident that Unphu has reinforced its organizational culture, its self-assessment and continuous improvement processes, in the strategic dynamics of its processes at the institutional level.”
