Unicaja played its 48th game of this season in Zaragoza last weekend. A figure that is broken down between the 29 that he has played in the Endesa League, the 16 that he has played in the Basketball Champions League and the wonderful 3 that he played last February in the Copa del Rey in Badalona.
It is curious that after the Zaragoza clash last Sunday, Unicaja has already played the same number of games this season as all those that the green team played last season of ungrateful memory 2021/2022. Last year, the team faced 48 games in the total season: 34 in the Regular Phase of the Endesa League, plus 14 in the Basketball Champions League until Baxi Manresa eliminated them in the continental quarterfinal playoff . As everyone remembers, the team did not qualify for the Copa del Rey in Granada 2022.
This current Unicaja 2022/2023 still has a good handful of more games ahead of it before the season comes to an end. At least they will have the remaining 5 from the Regular League, at least 2 more from the quarterfinal playoffs and the two from the Final Four of the FIBA Champions League. In other words, 9 are insured and there could be even more depending on the role that the team plays in the playoffs for the title fight.
