Furthermore, he was the sporting father of legends on the fields, such as Kukoc or Radja in the former Yugoslavia or Berni Rodríguez and Carlos Cabezas, names closer to our Unicaja. In addition, it should be noted that he is currently the president of the Serbian Olympic Committee.
Four seasons in Malaga
Maljkovic led the team for 4 seasons, reaching 237 games with 153 victories, which represents 64.56% of games won, the best percentage in the history of our Club. He led Unicaja to win the first European title, the Korac 2001, in addition to playing in the final of the same continental competition in 2000 and the ACB final in 2001. But most importantly, he was one of the architects of the leap that the Unicaja to establish itself in the elite”.
