Unicaja and Le Mans have placed themselves at the top of Group A of the first phase of the Basketball Champions League, after their respective victories on the opening day. On Tuesday, French Le Mans beat Greek Peristeri 96-68. A surprising result, especially because of those almost 30 points margin with which the French team surpassed the team coached by Vasilis Spanoulis.

Unicaja also did its homework this Wednesday, winning 78-87 on its visit to Falco Vulcano Szombathely of Hungary, which places it as co-leader of group A, along with the aforementioned Le Mans.

Unicaja-Le Mans, on the second day

Next week, the Martín Carpena will host a direct duel for the leadership of the group on Tuesday, starting at 8:30 p.m.. And Le Mans will visit the Unicaja court in a match that is considered key to the fight to be the group champion and thus achieve direct passage to the second group without having to play the play-in.
