UAX Rafa Nadal School of Sport grows with new postgraduate degrees in health and an MBA in sports management

The strategic alliance between the Alfonso X el Sabio University, Rafa Nadal and the Rafa Nadal Academy celebrates its first anniversary promoting specialized training in sports management and announces the launch of four new postgraduate degrees, among which the MBA in Sports Management stands out.

UAX thus continues advancing in the development of the UAX Rafa Nadal School of Sport, a project with a training model aligned with the reality of the labor market and the needs of the sports industry, which he has created together with a reference partner, Rafa Nadal and his team, and the Rafa Nadal Academy.

UAX Rafa Nadal School of Sport was born a year ago to train professionals with values, capable of transforming the sports industry, promoting training at the highest level in sports management. Now, it consolidates this objective with new postgraduate courses in whose design Rafa Nadal’s team and the UAX team have participated, with the co-direction of Quirónsalud, and which will allow students to specialize in the most demanded branches of the current sports industry.

It is the case of Online Master in Sports Nutrition and Training, focused on students of sports performance, dietetics and nutrition; the Online University Expert in High Performance Sports Psychology, a program that responds to current trends in the sports industry and that will allow students to become professionals who help athletes to give the best of themselves. He Master in High Performance and Healthwith a strong technological component, is aimed at students and professionals who want to specialize in the world of high performance sports with the application of the latest technologies.

In addition to these postgraduate degrees, UAX Rafa Nadal School of Sport has launched an MBA in Sports Management, a program focused on digital sports business, founded by Rafa Nadal and his team. The training model will allow students combine classes with leading professionals from the sports industry with experiences in Miami and at the Rafael Nadal Academywhere they will have the opportunity to connect with the industry for their further professional development.

These postgraduate degrees join the Master’s Degree in Sports Physiotherapy, the Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD), the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, the Degree in Physiotherapy, and the Double Degrees in Health Sciences. Physical Activity and Sports (CAFYD) and in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (CAFYD) and in Physiotherapy, with which the university school was born.

In addition to training, the UAX Rafa Nadal School of Sport has state-of-the-art sports facilities where students carry out part of their training. Among them are the UAX Fitness Center, which has more than 1,000 m2 and the latest technology to maximize the sports performance of students; the Virtual Simulation Hospital, which recreates a hospital environment equipped with immersive and experiential simulation technology, to learn about real clinical situations; or the recently inaugurated sports center, modern facilities of more than 2,000 square meters with state-of-the-art equipment and an innovative and sustainable design, and the strength laboratory of the new Aula Technogym.

In addition, the students of this university school complete their training with internships in top-level companies, including the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in Mallorca, Quirónsalud, sports clubs or the University Polyclinic, where internships are carried out in areas such as Physiotherapy, Psychology, Chiropody and Occupational Therapy together with the experts in medicine and health sciences from UAX.

This first anniversary is one more step in the transformation process in which the university is immersed, which focuses onn the evolution of its academic model to reduce the gap between the university and the working market; in collaboration with the business world and with leading organizations; and in the modernization and digitization of its facilities.

In addition to its alliance with Rafa Nadal’s team and the Rafa Nadal Academy, UAX is part of the group of research universities of the International Olympic Committee and has agreements with leading companies such as Quironsalud, Rafa Nadal Academy, Santander, KIA, Babolat, Cantabria Labs , Telefónica, Abbott, BeOne, Altafit, Diario AS, Decathlon, YouFirst, among others.
