Twitter is one of the most popular social networks in the world, and despite maintaining some relevance within world public opinion, its marketing tools are very limited and with moderate results.
That is why the preferred platform for brands to launch their campaigns is always Meta (that is, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram), Google, and lately TikTok.
Having this background, the platform directed by Parag Agrawal He has been working for several months in some functions included in something that they baptized as Twitter Shopping.
Next, you will know the characteristics that this new button of the little bird application would have.

Twitter Shopping Features
The functions revealed by the expert Matt Navarra, through his Twitter account last year, indicated that Twitter Shopping consisted of a button with links to product pages on the store site with the following information:
- Product name
- store name
- Price of the product
- ‘Buy’ button
Months later, Twitter made its tests official and launched the “Store Module” pilot program for some users with iOS and in the United States to explore “how shoppable profiles can create a path from talking about and discovering products on Twitter to buying them”.
“The Shop module is a dedicated space at the top of a profile where companies can display their products. When people visit a profile with the store module enabled, they can scroll through the product carousel and tap a single product to learn more and buy, seamlessly in an in-app browser, without ever leaving Twitter.
This feature was enabled for some users with iOS and in the United States.
Twitter Shopping Launch Date
This Wednesday, March 9, the US-based company launched a new blog entry remembering their work regarding this sales-focused function within the platform.
“When you go to a merchant’s profile that has Twitter Shops enabled, you’ll see a “View Shop” button right above their Tweets. When you tap the button, that merchant’s shop will open, where you can scroll through the items. When you’re ready to shop, you can click on the product of your choice, which will open an in-app browser where you can learn more about the product and pay on the merchant’s website.
Twitter still does not have an official launch date, and knowing the working times of the American company, surely many months of testing are missing.
At the moment the stores that have this type of service enabled are @Verizon, @ArdenCove, @LatinxInPower, @GayPrideApp, and @AllIDoIsCookUS.
