This Saturday there will be scattered rains in some parts of the country

The effects of the east-northeast wind and a weak trough over the Wind channel will cause scattered rains this Saturday morning over several provinces in the north, northeast and the Central Cordillera.

The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) also reported that these moderate rainfalls will occur in the afternoon today in the northwest and southeast regions, including Greater Santo Domingo and the border area.

The Wind Channel separates the island shared by the Dominican Republic and Haiti from Jamaica.

Onamet foresees that the rains may be accompanied, on occasions, by “possible thunderstorms and gusts of wind.”

Maritime conditions will be normal during the day and temperatures “slightly” pleasant, between 24 and 32 degrees Celsius, the department added.
