Apple has announced that the singer and songwriter Taylor Swift has been named Apple Music artist of the year after his “extraordinary 2023” full of records and relevant events, such as his tour The Eras Tourthe release of his album Midnights or the re-recordings of their first albums.
The singer, who is currently on a world tour, has become the most streamed female artist in the entire history of Apple Music, and has broken countless sales records. On Apple’s music platform, Taylor Swift has positioned up to 65 of her songs on the Global Daily Top 100 list during the first 10 months of 2023; she is the only artist who has achieved this.
Taylor Swift has also achieved another series of milestones in the history of Apple Music. Among them, get your song Cruel Summerlaunched in 2019, be one of the most listened to songs this summer —four years after its launch—. Or that her album Midnights is the most listened to album by a female artist of all time on Apple Music globally.

“It’s an honor to be Apple Music’s Artist of the Year,” Taylor Swift told Apple Music after being awarded Artist of the Year on the platform. “Thank you all for making this year the most incredible, happy and memorable year of my life.. You have played my songs non-stop, you have sung them with me at concerts and you have danced to them to the fullest in movie theaters. None of this would have been possible without you. Thanks a lot”.
Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music and Beats, also wanted to share a few words about Taylor Swift and her career: “She is the kind of artist that defines an entire generation, and she is changing the industry. There is no doubt that her influence will last for years and years. For us it is a pride to be able to celebrate everything she has achieved,” she highlights.
