The international chain IHG Hotels & Resorts announced Tuesday that it will build, at a cost of 22 million dollars, the Holiday Inn Santo Domingo Airport hotel in an area of the Las Américas International Airport, the main airport of the Dominican capital.
The 150-room hotel will have a bar and restaurants, terraces, a gym, a swimming pool, a business center, flexible meeting rooms, as well as parking, the chain reported in a statement.
The hotel rooms will have two views: towards the air terminal and towards the Caribbean Sea, so the façade will have large windows that will allow you to enjoy the surroundings.
Its clientele will be made up mainly of passengers who take flights very early, who missed a connection, as well as airline personnel. The hotel will also attract business travelers by having spaces for work meetings and training programs, the information added.
“We are excited to expand our offer in Santo Domingo with the legacy of one of our most recognized and beloved brands, a worldwide synonym for consistent and quality accommodation,” said IHG Hotels & Resorts Regional Vice President of Development for Latin America, Cristiano Gonçalves.
