The team from the University of Malaga, which competes in Formula Student, participated this weekend in the international competition ‘Formula Student Netherlands’ in the Netherlands and managed to get on the podium twice: in the endurance test and in the acceleration test.
A large representation of MART Málaga Racing Team attended the Assen circuit in what was his first international competition. There they joined the competition which was attended by another 30 teams from the renowned Formula Student.
After presenting a business plan based on their single-seater, the stages of the contest began, since to start competing they had to pass static and dynamic tests.
Finally, they returned to Spain with two third places. One in the acceleration test, where the ability of the car to travel 75 meters in a straight line in the shortest time possible. The other success was achieved in the resistance test, which consists of giving 22 laps around the circuit, changing drivers in the middle of the tour.
After a week of intense work they had the awards ceremony. The results are a success for the Malaga team, which is now back in the capital, where it will evaluate everything that happened in the Netherlands and will develop new tests to fight for the top of the podium in his next competitionwhich will take place in Barcelona between August 29 and September 4.
All this has placed Malaga with Malaga Racing Team as a benchmark in the field of automotive competition engineering. There are more than 50 students from careers as diverse as those of the School of Industrial Engineering, Marketing, Communication or Finance who are involved in the development of the competition car.
