‘Sport is Life in the province’ reaches a quarter of a century. The successful campaign promoted by Unicaja Basketball and the Malaga Provincial Council today celebrated its 25th edition with the Club’s traditional raffle for tickets for the 2023-24 season matches.
The vice president and deputy of Sports attended the draw ceremony, Juan Rosasaccompanied by the president of Unicaja Baloncesto, Antonio Jesus Lopez Nieto; the sports director Juanma Rodríguez; and mayors, councilors and technical staff of all the municipalities of the province. This initiative will allow a group of 22 residents from each of the municipalities of the province (5 per match) to attend the different matches played by Unicaja at the José María Martín Carpena Sports Palace, both in the Endesa League and of the BCL.
In addition to these free tickets, The Provincial Council and the green and purple club provide city councils with tickets at reduced prices. Each municipality can request 10 tickets to make them available to its neighbors.
Juan Rosas recalled that the initiative seeks to promote the values of sport and healthy living habits while allowing fans to enjoy the spectacle of professional sport in advantageous conditions.
During this time, The campaign has led more than 30,000 Malaga residents of the province to enjoy sports live. A very celebrated initiative that, now, reaches its silver anniversary.
Tickets
These reduced ticket matches are divided into categories A and B. In category A matches, Unicaja will face Baskonia, Valencia, Tenerife, Joventut, Gran Canaria and BCL play offs, and category B matches will be the rest of the ACB and BCL regular league matches, except for matches with Real Madrid and Barcelona, the ACB semi-final and final. In total, there are 3,410 free tickets that in many cases the students of the Municipal Basketball Schools in the province enjoy.
For category A matches, the prices of these tickets are 10 euros for the seats located in the upper corner and 14 euros for the upper side stand. In the case of category B matches, the price is 6 euros for the upper corner and 9 euros for the upper side stand. In all cases, admission for children up to 4 years old without a seat costs 2 euros.
The deputy concluded by thanking Unicaja Baloncesto for its support and collaboration, and congratulating the club for the great achievements achieved last seasonwhen they were champions of the Copa del Rey and semi-finalists of the ACB League and the BCL.
