The Prime Minister is going to inaugurate the 11th National Scout Jamboree on Saturday

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is coming as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the 32nd Asia Pacific and 11th National Scout Jamboree at the Bangladesh National Scout Center in Maucha, Kaliakair Upazila of Gazipur on Saturday morning. All security has been strengthened in the upazila in view of the Prime Minister’s arrival. It is also said that the legal arms users have been specially urged to deposit all their arms at the Kaliakor police station.

Meanwhile, the police and joint forces searched all the houses and multi-storey buildings around the Beehive Scout Center. The activity of law and order forces has been increased on the main roads entering the upazila. The entire center is said to be under the control of SSF forces.

Akbar Ali Khan, Officer-in-Charge of Kaliakor Police Station, said that the entire area around the Beehive Scout Center, including special places in Kaliakor Upazila, has been cordoned off after the Prime Minister’s arrival.

Chief National Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts. Mozammel Haque Khan said that the event will begin with greetings after the recitation of the Holy Quran at 10:00 a.m. and taking seats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. After that, the chief guest will release commemorative postage stamps, Shapna card award card will be distributed, Jamburi flag will be handed over. Later, the Prime Minister will announce the inauguration of the Jamboree at 11:50 am after presenting the Jamboree souvenir to the chief guest.
