Sharing photos on WhatsApp is always a weighing decision. After all, those shots with your latest generation smartphone will be compressed until all the beautiful details that compose it are altered. This is why, finally, WhatsApp would be about to launch a function to send your photos in all their impressive resolution.
The middle WABetaInfo, responsible for commenting on the latest WhatsApp news and rumors, has been the first to report it. As he comments in a recent publication, the messaging application debuts in its beta version 2.23.2.11 a feature to adjust the quality of photos shared by users.
In his report, WABetaInfo leaves us a screenshot of what the function could look like. A nut-shaped button in the upper right corner gives us access to the tab photo quality -photo quality in Spanish-. From here, you can choose the one that best suits you at the moment. After all, it’s always nice to have the option to send zipped photos when you just want to share memes or screenshots.
WhatsApp is working on sending photos in their original quality, for a future update of the app!

Some users report that with the latest version of WhatsApp, the aforementioned nut appears and disappears instantly when you try to share a photo. Of course, if this is your case, this does not mean that you will be able to use the option soonand it is quite likely that it will be fixed by the next application update.
The long-awaited full-resolution photos would arrive on WhatsApp shortly

At the moment, it seems that it is an internal beta within WhatsApp. This means that even if you update to the latest available version, you will not see the function to send photos in full resolution. However, it is likely that, once sufficiently tested, WhatsApp will decide to launch the feature to other users.
Nowadays, WhatsApp already allows us to configure the quality of our photos. Of course, we can only choose quite limited options, such as Best quality, Data saving and Automatic. None of them send the images at their full resolution, so the benefit is not appreciable if you want to share the photos of that last family trip, or of your outings with friends.
The feature is still in development. When will it arrive? We do not know. Some features tested internally by WhatsApp members never come to light, while others may spend several months in development. However, considering that this is an essential feature that will allow users to have a better experience with the service, it is likely that we will hear from her sooner rather than later.
