Alive just presented the V29 5G, a new model that is added to its catalog of mid-range mobiles and that will be launched first in Europe. The smartphone maintains the characteristic elements of the V line and is positioned as a kind of older brother to the V29 Lite 5G that we met and tested a few months ago.
The Vivo V29 5G arrives to fight within a segment that today is full of alternatives. And although its specification table is not the most powerful in the mid-range —nor does it pretend to be—, the truly interesting thing about this phone is found in the rear camera module.
The great novelty of the Vivo V29 5G is the Aura Light, a ring of light that accompanies the sensors located on the back of the smartphone. It has a diameter of 15.6 millimeters and promises to be powerful enough to allow the capture of high-quality photos, even in environments where there is very little or no light.
According to the manufacturer, the light emission area of the Aura Light is 9 times higher than that of a conventional flash. This allows for more even lighting, regardless of angle, helping to eliminate facial shadows and overly dark areas. Vivo maintains that the ring light on the V29 5G’s rear cameras is not a gimmick, but a really useful tool. Despite this, the mobile does not eliminate the standard flash.
And since the strong point of the V29 5G is photography, Vivo ensures that its camera of 50 megapixels with optical stabilization It is capable of delivering professional results, also taking advantage of its intelligent color temperature adjustment technology. To the main sensor are added a ultra wide of 8 MP and one of 2 MP to capture depth. On the front, the camera for selfies it is also 50 megapixels.
The Vivo V29 5G is presented with an AMOLED screen of 6.78 inches with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Under the hood, meanwhile, it incorporates a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. An interesting point is that the mobile will offer the option of extended RAM via softwarebeing able to “emulate” an additional 8 GB taking advantage of the available storage space.
Regarding energy management, the Vivo V29 5G includes a battery of 4,600mAh. Supports fast charging up to 80 watts, allowing you to recharge from 1 to 50% in less than 20 minutes.
In terms of design, we come across a smartphone that maintains a line already proven by the brand, with its characteristic rectangle on the back for the camera module. It will be available in two colors: Noble Black (black) and Peak Blue (blue).
The second stands out especially for having been developed with an innovative technique to offer a look inspired by that of the top of a mountain. The Peak Blue version of the Vivo V29 5G was created using 15 million micron, three-dimensional magnetic particle technology, which allows you to see highlights and shadows in a very peculiar way depending on how the light hits it.
