Tiger opener Tamim Iqbal Khan batted brilliantly against Chittagong Challengers in the first match of the day in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Tamim took himself to a unique level on this day. He is recognized as the first Bangladeshi cricketer to enter the seven thousand club in T20.
In response to Chittagong Challengers’ 158 runs, Khulna Tigers lost opener Munim Shahriar in the match held at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. Later, Tamim Iqbal Khan formed a pair with Mahmudul Hasan Joy and gave the team the basis of victory. Tamim’s innings stopped at 44 runs. That completes his seven thousand runs.
So far he has scored 7039 runs in 242 T20 matches. Tamim scored 1758 runs in 78 international T20 matches. The domestic franchise has nearly 3,000 runs in the BPL. Apart from this, he has played for 17 different teams including PSL, Caribbean Premier League, SLPL, County Cricket and New Zealand League.
