Sweden’s girls are third after beating Australia

The Sweden women’s team did not care about the host Australia in the third place match of the Women’s World Cup. Swedes lost Ajid’s 2-0 goal. Fridolina Rolfo and Kosovare Asallani scored one goal each in the match.

Sweden was slightly ahead in ball possession and attack in the match held at Sankroop Stadium. Sweden women’s team kept the ball under their control for 54 percent of the entire match. And a total of five shots were taken along the opponent’s goal. They scored a total of two goals.

On the other hand, the host Australian footballers kept the ball for 46 percent of the entire match. They took a total of four shots along Sweden’s goal. But did not see any goals.

In the 30th minute of the match, Fridoliana Rolfo scored a penalty to give Sweden the lead. Captain Kosovare Aslani scored the second goal in the 62nd minute. The match ended with a 2-0 goal difference.

Spain and England will meet in the Women’s World Cup final tomorrow (Sunday).
