Suryakumar Yadav: When will Suryakumar Yadav get a chance to play Test? Star cricketer himself replied

In the second T20 match against New Zealand, Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav tied the knot with his performance. Suryakumar Yadav played an unbeaten inning of 111 runs in just 51 balls while washing the Kiwi bowlers. In this innings, Surya hit 11 fours and seven sixes. Due to this brilliant innings of Surya, India was able to win the match by 65 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav is showing good game in T20 and ODI cricket but he has not got a chance to play Test cricket till now. Now Surya has given a big statement regarding Test cricket. It is not that Surya’s first class record is bad. Suryakumar has done well in first-class cricket for Mumbai over the years. Surya has so far scored 5326 runs in first class matches at an average of 44.01.

Suryakumar Yadav said in the press conference after the match, ‘When we started playing cricket, it was done with the red ball and I have been playing first-class cricket for Mumbai. I am well versed with the Test format and have enjoyed playing the longer format as well. Hopefully I will get the test cap soon.

Suryakumar has made a very late debut, but looking at his game, it seems that he should have made his debut much earlier. He said, ‘I often talk about my past. When I am in my room or traveling with my wife, we talk about the situation two-three years ago. How is the situation today and what has changed between then and now? Often keep talking about.

Definitely there was a bit of disappointment at that time but we always kept on keeping in mind that if there is something positive then we should focus on that. How can I become a better cricketer and move forward? After that time I tried different things like eating well, spending enough time in practice sessions, sleeping at the right time, which is paying off today.

Surya expressed surprise about his batting

Suryakumar admitted that some of his strokes took him by surprise but he never tried to outdo cricket. He said, ‘When I go back to my room and watch the clips of the match, I am also surprised to see some shots. Whether I perform well or not, I definitely watch the highlights of the match, but yes it is true that I am surprised to see some strokes.

Suryakumar said, ‘I never tried to get ahead of the game. I never thought that if I am playing well then I should score so many runs because it is important to stay in the present. Confidence always remains. When you are performing well then also you have to go through the same processes. Even on the day of the match, I try to do 99 percent of the same things that I do on a normal day.

Suryakumar said about batting at number three, ‘Recently in some matches, I and Virat played many good partnerships together. I thoroughly enjoy batting with him. The biggest thing is that I have to run a lot because he is a very fit player, but when we are off the field, we don’t talk too much about the game. We respect each other’s game.
