In the first semi-final match of the SAFF Championship held at the Dasaratha Rangshala Football Stadium in Kathmandu, Bangladesh reached the final by thrashing Bhutan by a huge margin of 8-0 goals. State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Zahid Ahsan Russell MP congratulated and congratulated all the players, coaches and officials of the Bangladesh women’s football team on this success.

Bangladesh team leader Sabin Khatun scored a hat trick in this match of the best four. This is his second hat-trick in the current tournament. Besides, Sirat Jahan scored one goal each for the team of Sapna, Krishna Rani Sarkar, Rituparna Chakma, Masura Parveen and Tahura Khatun.
