South Africa is smelling victory

Hosts South Africa are enjoying a victory in the first session of the fourth day in the second and final Test of the two-match series in Johannesburg. In response to the 391 runs given by the Proteas, the visiting West Indies lost 6 wickets after going down to bat to score only 34 runs. As a result, the hosts need only 4 more wickets to win.

Two Windian openers Craig Brathwaite and Tajnarayan Chanderpaul were playing in the beginning with Vishal Laksh in front. But this pair did not last long. After playing 10.4 overs, the two scored only 21 runs. Brathwaite returned home with a personal 18 off Protea pacer Kagiso Rabada.

After adding only 5 runs to the team score, four more batters took the path of Sajghar. And just before the lunch break another one came to the way of the East batters. That’s why the team is in danger of batting at the beginning. Chanderpaul 2, Reifer zero, Blackwood 4 and Meyers 7 runs.

Earlier, the two Proteas batsmen Temba Bavuma and Keshav Maharaj came out to bat at the beginning of the day in their second innings. Bavuma added 1 run to his personal score. He got out for 172 runs. Meanwhile, Maharaj scored 10 runs. Besides, 16 runs came from Rabada’s bat. Gerald remained unbeaten on 9 runs.
