Sevilla broke Juventus’ dreams in the final

As neither team could win the first leg of the semi-final, the second leg match was full of tension. This match also ended with a goal difference of 1-1. But Erik Lamela scored in added time to secure a 2-1 win for hosts Sevilla. That’s how the dream of Juventus was broken and the final was confirmed for the Spanish club.

Lamera’s goal in extra-time saw the record six-time champions turn around brilliantly to secure the final. The Spanish club will face Jose Mourinho’s Roma in the final of the tournament in Budapest on May 31. Yesterday, in another match with Bayer Leverkusen, Roma confirmed the final by leading 1-0 with a goalless draw.

Dusan Vlahovic gave Juventus the lead in the 65th minute of the second half. However, two minutes after entering the field as a substitute, Suso paid the goal in the 71st minute. He scored from outside the penalty area. The match went into extra time.

In the 95th minute, Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan impressed Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan with a powerful shot from Brian Gilles’ cross. In this, Sevilla confirmed the final for the first time after 2020.

After the match, Lamela told Movistar, ‘Good moments, bad moments – so many things were going around in my head. It was a unique moment. Now we are just one step away (from the title). This is a great opportunity. Tonight is a night I will remember forever.’
