Sebastián Jurado knows his sanction after the expulsion against Toluca

The Disciplinary Commission has already issued its verdict for the sanction of Sebastián Jurado after his expulsion in the duel between Cruz Azul and Toluca on Matchday 2.

Through the weekly report delivered by the agency, it was announced that the goalkeeper of the Machine will only receive one game of punishment after touching the ball with his hands outside the area.

“Missing an obvious scoring opportunity to an opponent who is heading towards the player’s opposite goal by means of an offense punishable with a free kick”, was the reason for this sanction.

For this reason, the celestial team will not be able to count on a Jury for the match against the Xolos de Tijuana, on July 14 at the Caliente stadium, corresponding to Matchday 3 of the tournament. Given this, it will again be Andrés Gudiño who will take responsibility for the celestial arc.

It was at minute 38 of the match, and in the middle of a counterattack, where the light blue goalkeeper left the area and intercepted the ball, for which the referee decided to expel him.

La Máquina is in 18th place in the general table, after suffering two defeats at the start of the season.

The report notes that Ángel Zaldivar, from Atlético de San Luis and Jaír Díaz, from Mazatlán, are the only players who were suspended for a match, because they received the red card on this day.
