Santo Domingo will host Ibero-American film exhibition from March 13 to 17

Nine films will be screened at the “Ibero-American Film Festival” that will take place in Santo Domingo from March 13 to 17, within the framework of the Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will take place on March 24 and 25 of this month, it was announced this Sunday.

Through a statement, the General Directorate of Cinema (Dgcine) reported that the films will be shown at the Dominican Cinematheque and in four other cinemas, free of charge.

The exhibition includes the Dominican film “Liborio” (2021), which will open it, as well as “Cocote”, also from the Dominican Republic; the Argentinian “La ciénaga”, the Brazilian “Loveling”, the Costa Rican “Agua fría de mar”, the Uruguayan “The theory of broken glass”, the Venezuelan “Pelo Malo”, the Chilean “Medea” and the Peruvian “La teta”. scared”.

The event is an initiative promoted by the Dgcine and the Foreign Ministry to highlight the importance of integration and cooperation among the member countries of the Ibero-American Conference.
