Santiago Giménez, signed the extension of his contract with the Feyenoord de la Ederivise club, until the 2027 season, with an improvement in his salary.
However, his presence for the 2023-24 season is not guaranteed, as the Mexican striker acknowledged that if an “offer that cannot be refused” arrives, the club would have the last word.
“Anything can happen in football. One day you are here, the other there. It depends more on the club than on the player. Someone may come along and make an offer that cannot be refused. You never know, ”he commented in an interview with ESPN.
Likewise, Santi appreciated the economic improvement, when he still had a valid contract. “I thank the club, that despite the fact that I had a current contract, they wanted to improve my contract. This is the club that opened the doors for me. It is my first club in Europe”, he added.
Giménez finished last season being Feyenoord’s top scorer with 23 goals as well as winning the league.
