The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned Russian citizens to avoid traveling to Canada. In the published announcement, it was stated that there were many cases of discrimination in Canada, including physical violence against Russian citizens.
“Due to the large number of cases of discrimination, including physical violence, against Russian citizens on the basis of ethnicity and citizenship in Canada, we recommend avoiding travel to this country in the context of tourism, education and business relations,” said the travel advisory issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
