We need to convey this greatest blessing to our youth and teach our children. As the Presidency of Religious Affairs, we are sending our 332 brothers to Umrah free of charge. Alhamdulillah. We will send it as much as we can. We will send it in the coming period. What is the wisdom of Umrah, Hajj? to step on the traces. To see the immaculate Masjid of the Prophet, where our Prophet lived, in Mecca, Medina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, Mina, Ravza-i Mutahhara,” he said. ‘IF THIS DISASTER HAPPENED TO ANOTHER COUNTRY, IT WOULD NOT COME TO THIS POINT’Erbaş stated that thousands of people all over Turkey came together and rushed to help after the earthquake that took place on 6 February, adding, “After the earthquakes on 6 February we experienced, there are almost no people who did not contribute. Thank God we have such a nation. We can’t be grateful. On Tuesday, at the Presidential Complex, Mr. President presented the outstanding state sacrifice medal to people from the country and abroad who were engaged in search and rescue work in disasters. Our brothers who participated in search and rescue efforts from over 100 countries, The people there received awards and medals.Thousands of people from our country, through the tunnels they dug under the debris in disasters, asked, ‘Will the debris collapse or not?’ They entered without thinking, they rescued over one hundred thousand of our brothers from under the rubble. This is a very important trait, a quality belonging to our people. That’s why, what does the fact that very important aid came from the country and abroad to a problem we suffered and experienced in our country? we have been reaping the fruits of our handshake for centuries. You reap what you sow. We have always received prayers, we have received many prayers. We received the prayers of the oppressed. God accepted those prayers. If it had happened to another country, they could not have brought this disaster to the level we have reached in such a short time. Alhamdulillah, it is a result that we have achieved with the unity and solidarity of our nation, with the prayers received,” he said. ‘We sang 50 thousand 500 hatims for 50 thousand 500 citizens’ Erbaş also stated that 50 thousand 500 hatims were read for 50 thousand 500 citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake in Ramadan, “50 thousand 500 citizens have passed away. We pray for them. It is the last day of Ramadan. Do you know how many hatims were read by our imams, muezzins and Quran course teachers who worked only in Istanbul during those days? We will add hatims. We will pray a little later. We will pray for our brothers who will go for Umrah.
President of Religious Affairs, Erbaş, attended the meeting held with district muftis and representatives of non-governmental organizations after the program.
