‘Pathan’ hits half-century even before release, breaks ‘War’ record with advance booking!

The king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan is returning as the lead hero after 4 years. His comeback film called ‘Pathan’ will be released on Wednesday. In the film, Shahrukh is going to be seen in a bang action avatar for the first time. Two songs, teaser and trailer of ‘Pathan’ have been well liked. Everyone’s eyes are on how ‘Pathan’ is going to make a tremendous debut at the box office. Meanwhile, from the news coming about the advance booking of the film, it is being known that the craze of ‘Pathan’ is going on very solid.

Reports are telling that advance booking for the opening weekend of ‘Pathan’ has become very vigorous. The film has made an amazing record for the opening weekend. In terms of advance booking, ‘Pathan’ has broken the record of last year’s biggest Bollywood film ‘Brahmastra’ and is now challenging big films like KGF 2.

Half century of advance booking
The advance booking collection for the first weekend of ‘Pathan’ has crossed the 50 crore mark. According to the data of Sacnilk, ‘Pathan’ has collected more than 50 crores gross collection from advance booking for the first day itself. While for Wednesday the film has earned more than Rs 24 crores from bookings, while for Thursday this figure is 13.38 crores and for the coming days it is 13.92 crores.

Beating ‘War’, became Bollywood film with biggest advance
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, 8 lakh tickets for ‘Pathan’ have been sold in advance for the first day only. Of these, 4.19 lakh tickets have been booked only in three National Cinema Chains – PVR, Inox and Cinepolis. This is the biggest booking of any Bollywood film in National Chains. Earlier this record was in the name of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s film ‘War’, which sold 4.10 lakh rupees in the national chains for the first day.

‘Pathan’ has also become the biggest Bollywood film in terms of advance collection for the opening weekend. The film has already collected more than 50 crores advance gross for the 5-day long weekend. Earlier this record was in the name of Siddharth Anand’s film ‘War’, which in 2019, had an advance gross collection of around 42 crores for its opening weekend.

Competition with KGF 2 and ‘Bahubali 2’
The booking of ‘Pathan’ has been increasing at a rapid pace since its inception, but since Monday its speed has become very fast. For the first day, more than 4.19 lakh tickets of ‘Pathan’ have been sold in National Cinema Chains. While this figure is at the top in terms of Bollywood films, it is at number three in terms of Hindi films. For the first day in Hindi, the record of selling maximum advance tickets in the national chains is in the name of ‘Bahubali 2’.

For the first day of Prabhas’ film, 6.50 lakh tickets were sold in the national chains itself. Whereas for KGF 2 this figure was 5.15 lakhs. Advance booking of ‘Pathan’ can easily cross the figure of KGF 2 by Tuesday evening. If Shah Rukh’s film surpasses even ‘Bahubali 2’, then it should not be a matter of surprise, although its chances are slightly less.

Biggest opening day advance in Bollywood history
From advance booking itself, ‘Pathan’, which has grossed more than Rs 24 crores for the first day, is going to break another big record. Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War’ is Bollywood’s biggest film in terms of advance booking gross. The film had a gross collection of 26.90 crores from the advance booking for the first day. By Tuesday night, ‘Pathan’ can reach very close to this record. If the fans remain crazy like this, then this record can also be broken.

Now there are not even 24 hours left for the release of ‘Pathan’. But theaters are seen filling up very fast on movie booking apps. It is going to be interesting to see which big records Shahrukh’s comeback film is going to challenge on the very first day itself.
