Pakistan scored 75 runs in the first power play

In a life-and-death match, Pakistan lost one wicket in the first power play to bat against New Zealand’s target of 402 runs.

Chasing a mammoth target of 402 runs at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Pakistan stumbled at the start. Their opening pair broke in just 6 runs.

Abdullah Shafiq, who scored 4 runs off 9 balls, was caught by Kane Williamson off Team Southee and returned to the dugout.

Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam formed a partnership after the first wicket went for 6 runs. Relying on this pair, Pakistan completed their half century in 7 over 4 balls and scored 75 runs in the first power play.

Before this, New Zealand lost the toss and went into batting against Pakistan and scored 401 runs by losing 6 wickets. Now Pakistan are batting with a target of 402 runs to win.
