“Others have done worse things and they don’t charge them so dearly”: Chicharito on his veto with the National Team

One of the main absentees in almost the entire process of Gerardo Martino with the Mexican team was Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and as it was revealed, the same player accepted that his non-call was due to an off-court issue.

In an interview with Fox Sports, the Galaxy attacker accepted that he made a mistake, which relegated him from the Tri squad for years.

“These two years I knew that it was a price to pay for the mistake, but also for a decision that I made, for a teammate and that’s how it was going to be”he mentioned.

Without giving further details, Chicharito commented that all the parties involved in this off-court situation failed and each one saw their benefit.

“If I am the first to be wrong and I can tell you I was wrong, but they were all! That was the problem”

Finally, he pointed out that other players who have gone through the Tri have done worse things and they did not have to experience a veto like him, a situation that Hernández cannot fully explain.

“How expensive it was charged; Now they did charge me a hundred dollars, when he should have been 20, to me. And why me? When there have been others who have done even worse, and they charge five of them, it will be for something ”, he concluded.
