One of the great representatives of Mexican boxing will return to the ring, after Oscar Valdez makes his triumphant return against Adam López.
That is why, in a conference with the media, the former super featherweight champion is now pointing to a war between Mexicans against Emannuel ‘Vaquero’ Navarrete, a fight that he fell off due to injury.

A lot of people want to see that fight. Everyone asks me about that fight with Navarrete, but right now I’m focused on Adam Lopez. Then I would focus on the world championship, and we both know we can put on a great show. He is a warrior and he is going to die on the line ”, he pointed out.
On the other hand, he stressed that it will be on May 20 when he makes his return against Adam López, a rival with whom he has already faced and gave his evaluation of what he expects for this function.
“My rival, many may take him lightly, but he is a boxer who sent me to the canvas in the first rounds, I was careless and he hit me with a left uppercut; we cannot trust each other. Many people want to see the fight against Vaquero, but for that to happen I have to win the fight against Adam López, the first objective is to win this fight and then go for the world title ”,
Oscar Valdez also spoke about the training change he is making at the camp in Guadalajara
“We are training hard, getting smarter and above all, we are preparing ourselves not to take hits and to be more selective with what I pitch. The injury frustrated me, because I wanted that title, but now I want to make up the time.”
Although his return is important, Valdez is focused on getting a belt back in his hands.
“I want to take back what is mine, I miss being a champion, that’s why I train every day, that’s how I’m taking it, very seriously. This year I want to be world champion, we are working to achieve it,” he said.
He also pointed out that he would like to be champion in a third division, like other boxing figures.
“I would like to jump 1 more division and look for another championship like my idols did. Erik Morales, JC Chávez, Juan Manuel Márquez, in different divisions, I already have 2, why not try the third on my waist.”
The champion, with a 30-1 record, trains with Eddy Reynoso, heading into what will be his comeback on May 20 against Adam López, in Las Vegas.
