He Nothing Phone (2) will run a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipsetconfirmed this Tuesday, February 28, the CEO of Nothing, Carl Pei, during the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023) in Barcelona, Spain.
This means that the company’s second phone will put Nothing into premium competitive Android territoryas explained in a report published on the website of Tech Advisor. The 8-series chipsets are Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile chips.
OnePlus co-founder Pei took the stage with Qualcomm Chairman Cristiano Amon at the company’s booth on the show floor of the industry trade show to announce the news. Carl Pei confirmed to reverse at the beginning of the year that the Phone (2) would be “more premium” than the first model.
The 2022 Nothing Phone (1) ran the game media Snapdragon 778+ 5G chip to help achieve a competitive price point. Qualcomm also provided a custom build with more high-end features supported, like wireless charging.

What to expect from Nothing Phone (2)?
No word yet on the design or additional specifications of the Phone (2) or details of the chipset it will run. The report predicts that it could be the 8 Gen 2 we saw in the Galaxy S23 Ultra or OnePlus 11. Nothing could also choose to use a slightly older chip like the 8+ Gen 1.
Nothing is using the same gradual disclosure to build hype about the Phone (2) as its first phone. As good as the Phone (1) was, the hype cycle around the device was long, with its glyph system on the back.
