POCO, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, has presented this Tuesday the LITTLE F4 GTa mobile phone that inaugurates the POCO F4 series and that, in addition, focuses on a very particular market segment: the gamer.
To understand this mobile, before even talking about its technical specifications, it is essential to do two appraisals that provide some context:
- That this mobile is called POCO F4 GT instead of simply POCO F4 suggests that, unlike previous years, we will see other variants of the POCO F4 series in the future.
- Likewise, that this phone puts the focus on the market of the gaming In such an obvious way, it also suggests that there will be another POCO F4 for those people who do not need those characteristic elements that this phone has.
This mobile, therefore, not to be judged as a successor to the POCO F3 which has given such good results to the Chinese company. Actually, it’s kind of spinoff. That real successor to the POCO F3, although Xiaomi has not confirmed it yet, will probably come later.
Why is the POCO F4 GT designed for gamers?
Exposed this context, what does the POCO F4 GT offer to conquer that public that uses their phone to play for hours? Mainly three things:
- Qualcomm’s most advanced processor. That is to say: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Almost all high-end mobiles of 2022 incorporate this processor. But what is relevant about this chip is not only the level of performance that it is capable of delivering. In a mobile like this, focused on gaming, the work that Qualcomm does together with many video game developers so that their titles are specially optimized for these chips is also important.

According to POCO data, the phone recharges from 0 to 100% in 27 minutes if it is playing and in 17 minutes if it is idle.
- Another key factor for gaming is the refrigeration. Otherwise, the chip slows down after a while. In this POCO F4 GT we do not have an extravagant solution with fans, but the brand has implemented the LiquidCool 3.0 system that promises to “evacuate” as much heat as possible.

The POCO F4 GT will be available in two memory configurations and three different colors: black, silver and yellow. Their prices and distribution channels are as follows:
