New images of the redesign of the Tesla Model 3also know as Project Highland. After months of rumours, revivals of the car with the front and rear hidden, it seems that its launch is imminent.
An anonymous source sent the images to electric, a well-known website dedicated to electric cars with an excellent reputation. These could be the promotional photos of the Model 3 Project Highland that would appear on the Tesla website once the car is officially announced.
The images of the car match the photo that was leaked months ago. You can see the totally redesigned headlights, a slight change in the frontal area and new tires.
In addition to the exterior design changes, some interior modifications are expected, including a new steering wheel, a new dashboard, the absence of levers, a new battery, a new method of assembly and manufacturing with larger parts, like the Model Y.
Tesla Model 3 Project Highland launch imminent
We have been reading and hearing rumors about the imminent launch of the car redesign for a few weeks now. Days ago it was learned that stores in China began to accept reservations for Project Highland, as a step prior to its imminent sale. Then the vehicle was supposedly advertised last week, but that didn’t happen. Now, apparently, this will begin its official production tomorrow friday september 1 at the Gigafactory in Shanghai.
If so, Tesla will launch the new version of the Model 3 Project Highland shortly. But it seems like a significant design change that would merit its own event. However, Tesla has not announced any, only the first deliveries of the Cybertruck, although it does not yet have a date.
Another possibility is that Tesla simply shows the new design in the web configurator, without further announcement, just tweets in their official accounts, images or photos on Instagram and some press release.
