Chasing the target of 311 runs, the Nepal team scored 269 runs for 6 wickets in 44 overs. During this, the hosts needed 42 runs from 36 balls to win. But then the umpires stopped the match due to bad light. The competition did not start again from here. After this, under the Duckworth Lewis rule, the target of 311 runs was reduced to 261 runs in 44 overs.

While the Nepal team had already scored 269 runs for 6 wickets in so many overs. In such a situation, Nepal was declared the winner in this match by 9 runs. With this victory, Nepal has directly qualified for the World Cup qualifiers. Bhim Sharkey scored 67, Arif Sheikh scored 52, Gulshan Jha scored 50 and Kushal Bhurtal also scored 50 runs for the Nepal team.

World Cup qualifier matches will be played in Zimbabwe

Nepal has performed brilliantly by winning 11 matches in the last 12 matches. Now the World Cup qualifiers will be played in Zimbabwe during June-July. Scotland and Oman had already entered the World Cup qualifiers from World Cup League 2. At the same time, in this qualifier, 5 teams will come from the Super League and the remaining 2 teams will come from the qualifier play-off to be held in Namibia.

The World Cup qualifiers will be played from this month i.e. from 26 March to 5 April. The matches are to be held in Namibia, in which teams from UAE, USA, Papua New Guinea, Jersey and Canada will participate apart from host Namibia.
