Narendra Modi On Ravindra Jadeja: ‘Brother, this is our boy’, when PM Modi spoke to MS Dhoni

Team India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is currently running out of the Indian team due to injury. Jadeja is expected to return to cricketing action only through the Bangladesh tour. Jadeja is enjoying the break he got due to injury. Ravindra Jadeja now recalls his first meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi a decade ago.

Ravindra Jadeja said that this was the first meeting that MS Dhoni had arranged for him. According to Jadeja, he met Narendra Modi for the first time in the year 2010. Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat at that time and the Indian team was in Ahmedabad for a match. When the then captain Dhoni introduced Jadeja to the Prime Minister, he said an interesting thing while laughing.

Jadeja told this whole incident

Jadeja said in a video post, ‘We had a match against South Africa at Motera Stadium. Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) was the captain at that time and he introduced me to him. Mr. Modi himself said that brother, this is our boy, take care. He said this laughing while being in a light-hearted mood. A person of such stature comes to you and says this personally, then a different feeling comes. I felt very good when he said this.

Talking about cricket, Jadeja is out of action since September due to injury. First he was injured during the Asia Cup held in UAE and then he had to be ruled out of the T20 World Cup as well. After this he was also not selected for the ongoing tour of New Zealand. Although he is expected to return for the Bangladesh Test series next month, but for this he will have to pass the fitness test.

Jadeja’s wife is contesting elections

Ravindra Jadeja is currently busy with the Gujarat assembly elections, where his wife Rivaba Jadeja is contesting. Rivaba was nominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as its candidate from Jamnagar North. Rivaba Jadeja had also filed a form for this on November 14 and she has started campaigning.
