Motor Crédito, Banco de Ahorro y Crédito organized a conference for low-income mothers belonging to the Villas Agrícolas sector together with the Opening the Way Foundation, in order to support communities through education in personal finance.
“Our goal is to promote awareness about the management of personal finances, with the aim of training these mothers to acquire the ability to make responsible and planned economic decisions, encouraging empowerment to achieve better management of income and expenses. from their homes” explained Jeyry Ovalles Achécar, manager of Motor Credit Marketing.
Ovalles emphasized that the purpose of the financial entity is to provide them with the necessary guidance so that they know the various options that they can access to integrate effectively into the financial sector and make efficient use of the resources at your disposal.
The workshop for mothers was given by the microfinance specialist Lilliana Rodríguez Álvarez, who shared with those present the talk “sow your way”.
As part of the activity, the 40 participating mothers were able to carry out practical exercises to identify income, expenses -both personal and household-, techniques to start a savings plan, how to plan for the future and guidance to increase sales in their microenterprises.
This activity is part of the bank’s mission to increase the percentage of financial inclusion of Dominicans, in line with the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion of the Dominican Republic 2022-2030 emanating from the regulatory authority Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD).
