From March to November of this year, the first edition of the Senda Azul Provincial Cruise League will take place. This was announced this Thursday by the president of the Malaga Provincial Council and Costa del Sol Tourism, Francisco Salado, who also highlighted that, “with this first league, Senda Azul manages to unite the yacht clubs and marinas of the province of Malaga “.
In this way, the Costa del Sol Provincial Council and Tourism project, which offers the most seafaring version of the province, brings together, for the first time, eleven yacht clubs and marinas in the province of Malaga, to hold a regatta of this type, in which more than 50 boats and a total of 250 sailors are expected to participate.
Salado has indicated that this competition is organized by the Club Náutico Marítimo de Benalmádena, the Puerto Deportivo de Benalmádena, the Club Náutico and the Puerto Deportivo de Fuengirola, the Real Club Náutico El Candado, the Real Club Marítimo de Marbella, Puerto Deportivo José Banús , the Marinas de Estepona and Marina La Duquesa, the Real Club Náutico de Estepona and the Real Club Mediterráneo de Málaga.
In his speech, the president of the Diputación also highlighted the Senda Azul project, which, as he pointed out, brings together the nautical, aquatic and underwater resources of the province of Malaga, and contributes to “expanding and improving the competitiveness of the tourist offer on the coast of Malaga, making a clear commitment to the protection and conservation of the natural and heritage resources of our coast”.
As it has advanced, “with this League we will travel the Senda Azul from Malaga to the coast of Manilva in eight stages, beginning on March 26 in the Port of Benalmádena and ending on November 18 in the bay of Malaga. The latter The regatta will be organized by the Real Club Mediterráneo, which this year celebrates its 150th anniversary”.
“The I Provincial League of Senda Azul Cruises will therefore become -according to Salado– an important incentive to attract sailing lovers from the province of Malaga and from different points of geography to the Malaga coast Spanish”.
