Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal Khan invited England to bat after winning the toss at the beginning of the match in Mirpur. After losing the toss, the visitors lost their wicket in the beginning. Opener Phil Salt returned to Sajghar for 7 runs off Taskin Ahmed. David Malan scored 11 runs for the second wicket.
