Clarke was part of the commentary panel for this Test series, but now the BCCI is reviewing Clarke’s place in the commentary team in the wake of the recent controversy and could be dropped. The first match of the four-match Test series between India and Australia is to be played in Nagpur from 9 February.
Washing hands from sponsorship deal as well
Michael Clarke is also likely to lose a multi-million dollar sponsorship deal following a public spat with Jade Yarbrough. According to The Age’s report, within hours of footage of the fight going viral, a skincare brand terminated the deal with Clarke. Brands such as RM Williams, Hublot and Ribco are also likely to withdraw their sponsorships from contracts with Michael Clarke.
