A little over three years before the World Cup ball rolls in North America, tonight the official image of the 2026 World Cup will be presented. This great event will take place in the city of Los Angeles, California, one of the headquarters of it’s fair.

This show will feature performances by invited artists, as well as projections, activities and digital broadcasts at the other venues in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
In addition, a personalized brand from each of the 16 host cities will be presented. Each of them will incorporate its own history and cultural heritage, which millions of fans around the world will learn first-hand when the competition begins.
The 2026 World Cup will be the first to be held in three countries in parallel, and which will be the largest in history, since it will have the participation of 48 national teams, which will be divided into 12 groups of four members.
This symbol is designed under the concept that a ball can unite the world. The colors green, white and red are used. On that occasion Argentina was crowned and Mexico advanced to the quarterfinals.
The 14th edition of the World Cups featured this logo that represents the colors of the Italian flag next to the shadow of a classic ball. In that year, West Germany was champion, while Mexico did not participate due to the case of the Cachirules.
This logo includes the identity of the United States, through the conjunction between a ball in the air and the American flag. Brazil took the fourth Cup home; Mexico was eliminated in the round of 16 against Bulgaria on penalties.
World Cup France 1998
This image shows a balloon being elevated above the earth’s horizon, representing the sun. The colors blue and red are used for the French flag. The French squad won the first cup at home. Mexico lost to Germany in the round of 16.
Korea-Japan World Cup 2002
In the first World Cup in Asia, this logo chose to present the image of the trophy that is awarded to the champion asymmetrically, surrounded by a yellow, green and red circle. In that edition, Brazil was the absolute monarch against Germany. Mexico was eliminated by the United States in the round of 16.
World Cup Germany 2006
The “Smiling Faces” logo, which seeks to rescue the joy of football. It shows three smiling faces, which symbolize the number 06, alluding to the year of the World Cup; a referee’s whistle and the colors of Germany. Italy was crowned for the fourth time and Mexico was eliminated in the round of 16 against Argentina.
World Cup South Africa 2010
This image shows the silhouette of a soccer player, represented in the manner of a cave painting, with the African continent in the background. The colors have been taken from the South African flag. Spain lifted their first World Cup, while Mexico succumbed to Argentina in the round of 16.
2014 Brazil World
Called Inspiration, it represents three hands raising the World Cup trophy while symbolizing unity. The predominant colors are green and yellow. Germany was crowned for the fourth time and Mexico fell in the round of 16 against the Netherlands.
World Cup Russia 2018
One of the most complex images, it features homages to the Sputnik spacecraft, to the stars, and to the victory celebration. In this edition, France lifted its second Cup. Mexico, for its part, was eliminated against Brazil
World Cup Qatar 2022
The symbol represents the union of the whole world through the Arab culture. With the homage to the desert dunes, and the symbolism of the trophy. Argentina took the Cup home and Mexico said goodbye in the group stage.
