A ceremony is held at Atatürk Cultural Center for Özkan Uğur, who lost his life on Saturday. The MFÖ group said goodbye to their friends and colleagues of 52 years on the stage. Mazhar Alanson and Fuat Güner had difficulty speaking. Güner said, “No words and no tears can make us relieve his pain, my Özkan, bye bye to meet again”. Mazhar Alanson, on the other hand, said, “How will we forget. What to do is desperate. I don’t want to say anything else. I want to say something before I go alone. You can’t be left alone against the day like this,” said Mazhar Alanson.
CEREMONY ORGANIZED AT AKM
Master artist Özkan Uğur, one of the members of the MFÖ group, who lost his life in the hospital where he was treated in Istanbul, is bid farewell to his last journey. While the artists attended the ceremony held at AKM, Özkan Uğur’s guitar, which was his companion throughout his artistic life, was placed on his coffin. A ceremony is now held for the master artist at Atatürk Cultural Center. Mazhar Alanson and Fuat Güner, who were devastated by Uğur’s death, had difficulty standing on the stage they came out to talk.
FUAT ÜNER: HE WAS MY FRIEND FOR 52 YEARS
While saying goodbye to his friend of 52 years, Fuat Üner, a member of the MFÖ Group, said, “Özkan is a very important loss for everyone in this hall, even for everyone in our country. Some know Özkan as the Ö of MFÖ, some are a stage performer, some are cheerful and good. He knows him as a kind-hearted older brother. But for me, my friend and business partner for 52 years. No words and no tears can relieve his pain, my Özkan, bye bye to meet again.”
HE CANNOT CONTROL HIS EMOTIONS
Mazhar Alanson, who was standing in the ceremony and could not control his tears, said the following; “I feel that my Özkan is here right now. I couldn’t prepare a speech, but we have been in a mess for 2-3 days. He has famous sayings. The 3 of us used to talk in bird language about the subject that we wanted no one to understand. Everyone knows this. Our relatives already know. I guess you didn’t know that you were loved so much. It turns out that the whole of Turkey loved you. Everyone who knows and does not know. How will we forget. What are we going to do? We are desperate. I don’t want to say anything else. I want to say something before I go alone; “
