Syrian President Bashar Assad also made a statement regarding the elections to be held in Turkey tomorrow. Bashar Assad stated that he is not interested in the winner of the elections.

Assad said, “It is not possible for me to meet with President Erdogan without a complete withdrawal from Syria. All of Turkey’s forces must leave Syria and this withdrawal must be complete. I do not interfere in Turkey’s domestic politics and am not interested in who will win in the elections. What is important to me is, It is for the chosen person to establish good relations with Syria, to develop relations and to withdraw from Syria.” used his statements.

“WE RESIST IN WITHDRAWAL”

On the other hand, recently, the foreign ministers of Turkey, Russia, Iran and Syria held a four-way meeting. Making a statement after the meeting, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mikdad stated that Syria’s main goal is to end all kinds of illegal military presence, including Turkish forces, on its territory. “We will not reach any real conclusion without progress on this issue, and we will continue to work, demand and insist on withdrawal in any case,” Mikdad said.

“MEETING AT THE LEADERSHIP CAN BE HELD”

Speaking after the meeting, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said, “What level of meetings will there be in the next stage? First, we will continue the talks at the level of foreign ministers. It is possible to hold a meeting at the level of leaders after this (advancing Turkey-Syria relations) roadmap is formed and the ground is prepared.” .
