Man City beat Bayern in the semi-finals

Manchester City and Bayern Munich drew 1-1 in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final. As a result, the English club secured their place in the top four by leading 4-1 in two legs. They will face Real Madrid in the fight to reach the final.

Manchester City ignored Bayern Munich in the first leg match at the Etihad Stadium. blew up with a huge margin of 3-0 goals. So the German giants needed to win the second leg by four goals to survive in the tournament. But that didn’t happen anymore.

The host Bayern Munich dominated the ball possession and attack in the match held at the Allianz Stadium. Bayern Munich held the ball 58 percent of the time. And a total of seven shots were taken along the opponent’s goal. But only one goal was found.

On the other hand, the visiting Manchester City managed to keep the ball under their control for only 42 percent of the entire match. Bayern took a total of two shots on goal. And got one goal.

Bayern Munich started playing attacking football from the beginning of the match. On the other hand, Manchester City played in a defensive manner. Even then, Bayern could not score a goal. After the first half ended goalless, the German club scored a goal at the beginning of the second half. Arling Haaland, the Norwegian star of the team, gave the English club the lead by scoring in the 57th minute of the match.

Bayern then increased the pace of the game. But there was no success. But in the 83rd minute, Joshua Kimmich managed to equalize the team from the spot kick. But it was not enough to make it to the top four. The match ended with a 1-1 goal difference. And with a draw, the city’s footballers rejoiced.
